Zachary Freedom to perform at Reunion Rendezvous

Zachary Freedom

The Greene County School Foundation will host an event to welcome class reunions to the Bell Tower Festival this year. This special event will include live entertainment with acoustic guitarist and singer/songwriter Zachary Freedom. Freedom recently performed at Country Blessings’ Spring Fling and is well-known throughout the area.

School Foundation board member Karen Lawton is chairing the Reunion Rendezvous event along with Annie Ostendorf and Peg Raney.  Classes planning a reunion are asked to contact Ostendorf at 515-370-1397 or ostee@netins.net or Beth Vander Wilt at 515-386-2155 or info@jeffersonmatters.org to receive updates on activities.

Reunion Rendezvous will be held Saturday, June 11, immediately after the parade from 12:30 to 3 pm on the north side of the courthouse. Large tables and chairs will be set up under the trees and available as a gathering place. Classes can have a table reserved by contacting Annie O.  Attendees can plan to purchase lunches from the many vendors and enjoy this special time downtown. Those attending are welcome to bring lawn chairs and blankets from the parade. There is no cost for this event.

Greene County School Foundation Board members and other community leaders will be available to greet visitors and give updates on the school facilities and other projects in the community.  Not only are classes and their families welcomed back but information on moving back will also be available for those interested.

With live music, good food, friends and family in a beautiful outdoor setting at the annual Bell Tower Festival, the Greene County School Foundation is proud to offer the Reunion Rendezvous  event again this year.
